(From Congresswoman Bonamici)
One week ago today, I was sworn in as the newest member of Congress. As soon as I took the oath of office, I focused immediately on the priorities of my constituents.
On my first day in Congress, I signed on as a co-sponsor of a bill to increase credit union lending to member businesses, which is important to provide the capital necessary for small business growth. On day two, I cast my vote in favor of a bill banning both members of Congress and the Executive Branch from engaging in insider trading.
It’s been a busy first week, and as I begin the important work of representing my constituents, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the many volunteers, donors and supporters who helped win this election.
Thank you; I am so very honored to serve as the Congresswoman for Oregon’s First District.
With appreciation,

Suzanne Bonamici
